Who Is Behind TOPS LED Video Walls?
There is a rich history behind the Miltimore family’s innovation in the Pro AV industry, dating back to 1892 when Alonzo Miltimore pioneered the first in-ear speaker and electric hearing aid. In the 1970s, Lee and Earl Miltimore crafted their sound systems, evolving through JBL and Peavey equipment. Today, their legacy continues with the award-winning Riversong Guitars. Excitingly, the Miltimores extend their innovation to LED video solutions.
In the 1990s, Mike Miltimore organized corporate events and video dances across Western Canada, facing challenges with projection equipment. Their first outdoor bright screens, a tri-color 18mm pitch wall, marked an early innovation with wheeled racks for swift setups. Despite being bright for outdoor viewing, they were inefficient and had coarse resolution. The experience taught the Miltimores valuable lessons in power distribution, data management, and addressing Canada’s harsh outdoor conditions.
Continuously evolving, the Miltimore AV company expanded its video equipment offerings, recognizing the unmatched output of LED video walls compared to even the latest laser projectors. Transitioning to a 2.97mm pixel pitch technology proved pivotal, offering increased brightness and finer resolution with user-friendly double size rectangle panels literally halving the cable costs and significantly improving setup time. Committed to improvement, the Miltimores persistently seek ways to enhance LED solutions for the Canadian rental market.
